YPN treats volunteers as trusted institutional contributors, not casual helpers. Each role has a clear owner, scope, time expectation, data access level, and review cadence.
- 1. Interest Volunteer submits role interest, skills, availability, and conflict disclosures if relevant.
- 2. Screening Role owner reviews fit, youth-safety needs, confidentiality, and supervision requirements.
- 3. Training Volunteer receives mission, conduct, privacy, safety, AI-use, and program-specific orientation.
- 4. Assignment Volunteer starts with a bounded task, named supervisor, and expected deliverable.
- 5. Review YPN checks quality, fit, risk, and whether the role expands, pauses, or ends.
